Specialist & Commercial Plastering Manchester
New-build programmes, commercial fit-outs and specialist plastering across Greater Manchester.
Specialist plastering for new-build housing, commercial fit-outs, listed-property lime work and high-end residential. Programme-driven, snag-free and fully insured.

Why specialist plastering matters in Manchester
Specialist and commercial work is where we run a programmed crew rather than a one-off visit. New-build housing developers, shopfitters, office fit-out contractors and listed-property owners all need plasterers who turn up on the date in the contract and leave a snag-free finish for the next trade.
We have plastered for Manchester developers across the M postcodes, fit-outs in the Northern Quarter and Spinningfields, and lime-work on listed terraces in Whalley Range and Didsbury. Programme-driven, properly insured, and priced against measured drawings rather than guesswork.
Standards we work to
Programme-driven
Phased start dates, agreed daily output and a foreman on site — fit-outs and new-build runs land on time.
Measured pricing
Priced against drawings or a site measure, not a phone-back rough number. No drift on invoice day.
Snag-free handover
Final walk-round with the site manager — every snag closed before sign-off so the next trade is not held up.
Lime & heritage work
Lime putty and NHL plasters on listed Victorian and Georgian properties where modern gypsum is not appropriate.

Specialist plastering — common questions
Do you take on new-build housing programmes?+
Yes — we run programmed crews for Manchester housing developers on plot runs from 10 units upwards, plastering to a build programme with weekly hand-overs to the painter.
Can you work nights or weekends for commercial fit-outs?+
Yes — for retail, office and hospitality fit-outs we regularly work nights and weekends to fit around tenant trading hours. Quoted as a separate out-of-hours rate, agreed in writing up front.
Do you do lime plastering on listed properties?+
Yes — lime putty and natural hydraulic lime plasters on listed and pre-1919 properties where breathability matters. We also work alongside conservation officers when an LBC application requires it.
How is plastering work in Manchester quoted?+
Every job is quoted individually after a site visit. What matters is the size of the room, ceiling height, access and how much prep or repair work is needed — so you get a fixed written quote rather than a rough figure over the phone.
How long does a room take to plaster?+
Most single rooms are skimmed in one day. A full house re-skim usually takes 3-7 working days, and damp proofing with replastering typically takes 2-3 days per affected wall.
How long before I can paint new plaster?+
Allow 3-7 days for fresh plaster to dry fully — longer in winter or on damp-proofed walls, which can need 2-4 weeks. Once it is a uniform pale colour with no dark patches, start with a mist coat of watered-down emulsion (roughly 70% paint, 30% water).
Do I need to move out while you plaster?+
No. We work room by room, sheet everything down and keep dust to a minimum, so you can stay in the property throughout. We only ask that the room being worked in is cleared of small furniture.
Are you insured and do you guarantee your work?+
Yes — we are fully insured with public liability cover on every job, and all workmanship is guaranteed. Damp proofing treatments carry a longer written guarantee, explained in your quote.
Which areas of Manchester do you cover?+
We cover all of Greater Manchester, including Manchester city centre, Salford, Stockport, Trafford, Didsbury, Chorlton, Altrincham, Sale, Prestwich, Bury, Oldham, Ashton-under-Lyne, Urmston, Wilmslow and everywhere in between. There is no travel charge inside Greater Manchester.
Do you offer free quotes?+
Yes. We visit, measure up, talk through the finish you want and send a fixed written quote — no obligation and no charge. Quotes are valid for 60 days.
Do you clean up afterwards?+
Always. Floors and fittings are dust-sheeted before we mix, and all waste, old plaster and packaging is bagged and removed when we finish.
