Plastering Repairs
From hairline cracks to large blown patches, we cut out failing plaster and reinstate it so the repair disappears beneath paint.

Plastering Repairs in Manchester
Cracks, blown patches and damaged plaster don't just look bad — left alone they spread and the repair gets bigger and dearer. We cut back to sound plaster, key the substrate, and reinstate the patch so it disappears once it is painted.
Most repairs across Manchester are completed in a single visit. We will tell you straight if a crack is cosmetic or symptomatic of movement or damp, and what the right fix is.
Standards we work to

Common questions
Everything Manchester customers usually ask about plastering repairs — timings, drying and what we need from you.
Why does plaster blow off the wall?+
Usually moisture, poor bond to the substrate, or vibration. We will diagnose the cause before we re-plaster so the repair lasts.
Can you repair just one section without re-doing the whole wall?+
Yes — small repairs are blended into the existing surface and disappear once painted.
How is plastering work in Manchester quoted?+
Every job is quoted individually after a site visit. What matters is the size of the room, ceiling height, access and how much prep or repair work is needed — so you get a fixed written quote rather than a rough figure over the phone.
How long does a room take to plaster?+
Most single rooms are skimmed in one day. A full house re-skim usually takes 3-7 working days, and damp proofing with replastering typically takes 2-3 days per affected wall.
How long before I can paint new plaster?+
Allow 3-7 days for fresh plaster to dry fully — longer in winter or on damp-proofed walls, which can need 2-4 weeks. Once it is a uniform pale colour with no dark patches, start with a mist coat of watered-down emulsion (roughly 70% paint, 30% water).
Do I need to move out while you plaster?+
No. We work room by room, sheet everything down and keep dust to a minimum, so you can stay in the property throughout. We only ask that the room being worked in is cleared of small furniture.
Are you insured and do you guarantee your work?+
Yes — we are fully insured with public liability cover on every job, and all workmanship is guaranteed. Damp proofing treatments carry a longer written guarantee, explained in your quote.
Which areas of Manchester do you cover?+
We cover all of Greater Manchester, including Manchester city centre, Salford, Stockport, Trafford, Didsbury, Chorlton, Altrincham, Sale, Prestwich, Bury, Oldham, Ashton-under-Lyne, Urmston, Wilmslow and everywhere in between. There is no travel charge inside Greater Manchester.
Do you offer free quotes?+
Yes. We visit, measure up, talk through the finish you want and send a fixed written quote — no obligation and no charge. Quotes are valid for 60 days.
Do you clean up afterwards?+
Always. Floors and fittings are dust-sheeted before we mix, and all waste, old plaster and packaging is bagged and removed when we finish.
