Fresh skim normally needs 3-7 days to fully dry depending on the room and weather. We always advise a mist coat (watered-down emulsion) as the first paint coat.
Can you skim over old wallpaper?+
No — wallpaper has to come off first. We can strip it as part of the job if needed.
Do you cover dust sheets and protect carpets?+
Always. Floors, fittings and furniture get sheeted before we mix a drop of plaster.
